Bespoke chemical peels at The Mansfield Park Clinic, a nurse-led clinic beside Carr Bank Park in Mansfield.
Every treatment is planned and carried out by Lara Eastwood, a Registered Nurse with nineteen years in the NHS and twelve in aesthetics, and it always starts with a consultation.
Book a ConsultationA chemical peel uses a carefully chosen blend of acids to remove the dull, damaged surface layers of skin, so fresher skin comes through. It’s one of the oldest treatments in aesthetics and still one of the most reliable, particularly for pigmentation and for skin that has simply stopped looking bright.
Every peel at the clinic is bespoke. Lara chooses the type and strength after assessing your skin, because the right peel depends on your skin type, your concerns and how much downtime you can fit around your life.
Best forPigmentation, sun spots, dull skin, uneven tone, congestion Book a ConsultationLighter peels leave skin brighter with little visible afterwards beyond some redness. Deeper peels bring a bigger change, in exchange for a few days of dryness and flaking.
Courses usually work better than one-off peels, and autumn and winter are the sensible months for the stronger options, when skin is less exposed to strong sun.
Your skin is assessed first, and Lara may recommend preparing it with suitable skincare before a stronger peel.
On the day, your skin is cleansed and the peel is applied for a set time. Most people feel tingling or warmth. The peel is then removed and your skin is finished with soothing products and sun protection.
Let any flaking happen on its own; don’t pick or peel. Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser, avoid strong active products for a few days, and stay out of saunas and strong sun.
A high-factor SPF every day is essential after a peel. You’ll leave with written aftercare instructions and a way to contact the clinic if anything worries you.
It depends on the strength. Light peels often show little more than redness, while deeper peels bring a few days of visible flaking.
Most concerns respond better to a course than to a single peel. Lara will plan the number and spacing with you at your consultation.
Peels are one of the main treatments for pigmentation and sun spots. Some pigmentation needs a longer plan, and Lara will tell you honestly what to expect.
The price depends on the type and strength of peel your skin needs, so it’s confirmed at your consultation once Lara has assessed your skin.
You’ll have the full cost in writing before you decide anything, and there’s no obligation to go ahead.
Not always. Some peels aren’t suitable during pregnancy, with certain medications or on recently sun-exposed skin, and the clinic doesn’t treat anyone under eighteen.
Lara will check your skin and medical history before recommending anything.
